What is common app?
Common App
Common App is used by colleges and universities that promote admission to colleges through a complete full process to make it easier to apply to many schools at once. The college selection process includes a criteria, such as:
- academic recommendation
- a writing sample - (well-written essay is a very important part of the Common App)
*Personal Essay is required for many schools
If a college or university uses only SAT or ACT scores and GPA, they would not use the Common App.
